Cosmeceuticals – the perfect marriage?
Cosmeceuticals represent the marriage of cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Examples of products typically labeled as cosmeceuticals include anti-aging creams, serums and moisturisers. Cosmeceuticals are cosmetic products with biologically active ingredients purporting to have medical or drug-like benefits.
And, who better to create these products than doctors themselves. Several doctors have come up with their own skincare range to better serve their patients as well as tap on the burgeoning skincare industry.
