Hair Treatment: Aveda Dry Remedy
Just like your body and skin, your hair needs to be fed the right nutrients in order for it to be healthy. This is especially relevant if you have just coloured it, and wash and blow-dry it daily due to a sporty lifestyle – like me!
After losing a bunch of hair from attempting to comb my dry and matted tresses, I decided that enough was enough and sought some TLC at CINQ. Kenji, my hair technician, recommended Aveda’s Dry Remedy for very dry and brittle hair (guilty as charged!). Using the power of plants, this treatment uses patent-pending deep moisture complex with Buriti Oil, pomegranate and palm-derived conditioners to condition and moisturise stressed roots. Not only does it restore hair condition, it will also smoothen and detangle hair so that it is easier to manage.
To start off the treatment, Kenji gave me a mind-blowing shampoo and head massage using Aveda Damage Remedy shampoo. He was extremely skillful and I had to close my eyes as they were rolling back in ecstasy. When he finished, I had to restrain myself from proposing marriage to him – yes, he was that good! Groggily, I made my way back to my seat and Kenji then sprayed my locks with Aveda’s botanical treatment followed by its Dry Remedy hair mask. This procedure does not require a steamer and my hair was simply wrapped in a towel for 12 minutes.
Service at CINQ is top-notch with “Magic-hands” Kenji constantly checking that I have new magazines to read and even offered Aveda’s delicious herbal teas for me to enjoy. After two hours of pampering, my hair smells wonderful, is soft to touch and glossy to boot!
