How it works:
After cleaning my face, my friendly therapist, Margie, applied cooling gel to my face before using the wand of the Refirme machine on my face. Starting from the bottom right side of my face, she used the wand to stroke every inch of my face. The wand uses combined bi-polar radio frequency and light energies to heat the dermal tissue within the targeted area. This stimulates collagen production and tightens the skin.
My skin felt warm but the heat was contradicted by the cooling gel she applied to each area before going over the target area seven times with the wand. The feeling was comfortable and we chatted while she was doing the treatment. Soon she finished the right side of my face and gave me a mirror so I can check on the immediate effect. To my surprise, even though I do not have any significant wrinkles, I can see that my right eyebrow was slightly higher than the left, my right eye bag was less obvious and my right nasal labial fold line (the line from nose to mouth) was less noticeable than the left side! The right side of my face also felt firmer overall. Very pleased with the immediate results, I let Margie complete my left side so that it will be improved like the right side.
After Margie finished the treatment, she cleaned off the gel thoroughly and applied sunblock on my face. When I got dressed, I also noticed that my face looks more luminous and toned in general.
When can you see results:
As mentioned above, I could see the improvements to my face immediately. Some people will see gradual results over time as collagen production is stimulated.
How long does it take:
The procedure takes an hour. Together with cleansing, the overall treatment takes an hour and fifteen minutes.
