Anti-aging Tip: Get A Glow Job!

Turn back time with this luxurious facial.

Last month, I did something I shouldn’t – I did water sports in Cambodia without adequate sunblock. As a result, my face and body got sunburnt very badly. When I came back, I plastered my face with aloe vera masks but my skin still looked dull and dehydrated.

The glowing HydraFacial machine

It was time to try the much-raved about HydraFacial which is touted to boost skin moisture, creating a glow that lasts. HydraFacial’s suction tips have a unique spiral design that creates a vortex effect to easily dislodge and remove impurities while simultaneously hydrating skin with skin solutions containing powerful antioxidants – exactly what I needed desperately!

What to expect during treatment:

Oh yeah, suck them blackheads out!

My therapist first removed all traces of sunblock with a make-up remover before cleansing my face. Then, using HydraFacial’s patented HydroPeel suction tips, she cleansed and exfoliated my face thoroughly. The slight sucking motion and sound reassured me that my pores were getting a good cleaning. This was followed by a gentle acid peel to loosen dirt and debris from pores without irritation.

Next up, the extraction part of the facial which uses the suction to painlessly suck out clogged pores. As I had some stubborn whiteheads, my therapist first checked if I wanted them extracted manually before performing a very gentle extraction. A clarifying and moisturising mask was then applied to my face. While I waited for the mask to set, my therapist carried out a relaxing head and shoulder massage. Ahhh bliss…

Infusing my skin with antioxidants

The last step of the HydraFacial is hydration and my therapist again used the suction tips to gently push antioxidants and Hyaluronic Acid into my skin. A serum and sunblock was applied before I left the clinic.

How long before results are seen:

My skin looked like it had gone on a holiday! The fine lines under my eyes were almost diminished, and my face was radiant and rosy. I examined my nose and was happy to note that my blackheads have been sucked out.

Number of treatments required:

Just like a normal facial, a HydraFacial can be done monthly to maintain your glow and keep skin debris-free.

Suitable for:

The treatment is soothing, moisturising, non-invasive and non-irritating. It improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, congested and enlarged pores, oily or acne-prone skin, even hyperpigmentation and brown spots.
